Perkins was born and raised in New Baltimore, Michigan, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Michigan in 1995. She was on the theatrical stage, and than she moved to TV, where she appeared as a guest in over thirty shows such as C.S.I., Without a Trace, How I Met Your Mother, Nip/Tuck, Chirurdzy, and Castle.
Perkins is best known for her regular role in the Showtime comedy series Episodes. W 2013, she played the lead role in the NBC’s The Gates. Na dużym ekranie, she appeared in Enough Said (2013) and Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks (2014).
